ABOUT The Blast Studio

The Blast Studio was founded in 2014 by Andrew Hoccom and his partners with a simple vision: to support nonprofit organizations throughout the Portland, Oregon community with quality printing and marketing services. What began as an effort to give back to local nonprofits has grown into a full-service creative and production studio, offering printing and design services of all kinds—including website design, apparel, and much more.

Andrew Hoccom began his career in the printing industry in 1990, working with Oregon Catholic Press. After more than two decades in the industry, he took the leap into business ownership and began building a company of his own. With nearly 40 years of experience in printing and production behind him, Andrew brings a deep understanding of the craft and a genuine commitment to the people and businesses he serves.

At The Blast Studio, we believe quality production is about more than simply creating a finished product. It’s about building lasting relationships, taking pride in our work, and helping our customers put their best foot forward. Our goal is to give small business owners the confidence and pride that comes from having professional, thoughtfully produced materials, while developing long-term partnerships with the larger organizations we serve.

Most importantly, we believe in being part of the community—not simply doing business in it. We are proud to support our local community in every way we can, and we love finding opportunities to make a positive contribution.

Even our shop dog, Azriel, has a role to play. As a Guide Dogs for the Blind training route passes by our shop, our old-timer sits quietly at his post, stoic as stone, while guide-dog puppies learn to remain alert and focused as they work. He has become a small but beloved part of our shop and, in his own way, our community.

We love what we do, we love the people we work with, and we are proud to call Historic Downtown Gresham home. We look forward to continuing to grow alongside the businesses, organizations, and people who make our community such a special place.
